This is the perfect dessert for a hot summer evening. Use ripe melons for the sweetest flavor.
For salsa, in a medium bowl combine cubed melon, sangria or grape juice, and jalapeno pepper, if desired. Toss gently. Cover and chill 2 to 6 hours.
Place 2 chilled watermelon "steaks" on each serving plate. Sprinkle with lemon juice. Spoon some of the salsa over each serving. Makes 4 servings.
