Directions

  1. In a 3-1/2- or 4-quart slow cooker combine cranberries, water, sugar, and amaretto. Add pears, stirring to coat.
  2. Cover and cook on low-heat setting for 4 to 5 hours or on high-heat setting for 2 to 2-1/2 hours. Remove liner from cooker, if possible, or turn off cooker. Let stand, uncovered, for 30 minutes to cool slightly before serving.
  3. To serve, divide cranberry sauce among 6 dessert plates; place 2 pear halves on each plate. If desired, serve with ice cream and garnish with toasted almonds. Makes 6 servings.
