  • In a small saucepan combine brown sugar, cocoa powder, and cornstarch. Add water. Cook and stir over medium heat until sauce is thickened and bubbly. Cook and stir for 2 minutes more. Remove from heat; stir in margarine and vanilla. Cover and chill thoroughly (about 2 hours) before serving. Makes about 1-1/4 cups.
