Danish-Style Mulled Wine
In a large jar or pitcher, combine wine, vodka, brown sugar, cinnamon, ginger, cardamom, orange zest, and cloves. Cover; let stand at room temperature 8 hours or overnight.Advertisement
To serve, warm mixture over medium-low 15 to 20 minutes or until steaming (do not boil); strain. If desired, add raisins and/or slivered almonds and serve with additional cinnamon sticks. Serves 8.
If you are in a time crunch, you can skip the overnight standing time, for a nearly as good a result.
