This deliciously sweet brownie recipe combines the classic flavors of peanut butter and chocolate. Topped with peanut butter frosting, this is one dessert recipe that's sure to satisfy any sweet tooth.
Preheat oven to 350 degree F. Grease a 9x9x2-inch baking pan and set aside. In a medium saucepan melt butter and chocolate over low heat. Stir in sugar, eggs, and vanilla. Using a wooden spoon, beat lightly by hand just until combined. Stir in flour. Spread batter in prepared pan.
Bake for 20 minutes. Cool on a wire rack.
Meanwhile, for frosting, in a medium mixing bowl beat peanut butter until fluffy. Gradually add 1 cup powdered sugar, beating well. Beat in milk and vanilla. Gradually beat in enough of the 1/2 cup powdered sugar to make a frosting that is easy to spread. Spread frosting atop brownies and sprinkle with finely chopped dry-roasted peanuts. Cool completely. Cut into bars. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days. Makes 16 brownies.
