Cookies in A Jar
- Stir together flour and baking soda in a small bowl;set aside. Layer in a 1-quart glass jar the following ingredients: white baking pieces, oats, candy-coated chocolate pieces, brown sugar, granulated sugar, and flour mixture.Tap jar gently on the counter to settle each layer before adding the next. Cover jar.
- Store at room temperature up to 1 month. Or, attach baking directions and give as gift.

Heat oven to 375 degrees F. Empty contents of jar into a large bowl. Add butter, egg, and vanilla. Stir until combined. Drop dough by heaping teaspoons 2 inches apart onto a parchment-lined or ungreased cookie sheet. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes or until edges are lightly browned. Transfer to wire racks and cool.
