Cinnamon-Spiced Brussels Sprouts


Cinnamon isn't just for baked goods. In this skillet side dish, it evens out the sometimes-bitter sprouts so they're picky eater-approved.

  • 3 tablespoon olive oil or canola oil

  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

  • 6 cup shaved Brussels sprouts

  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

  • ¼ teaspoon salt

  • teaspoon ground black pepper


  1. In a large skillet heat olive oil over medium-low heat. Stir in cinnamon. Increase heat to medium-high. Add Brussels sprouts. Cook; stirring 5 minutes or until just tender. Drizzle with 1 Tbsp. lemon juice; season with salt and black pepper.


Increase the amount of shaved Brussels sprouts to 6 cups.
