Cider Pork Stew

Directions

  1. Trim fat from meat. Cut meat into 1-inch pieces. If desired, in a large skillet brown meat in hot oil over medium heat until browned. Transfer meat to a 3-1/2- to 5-1/2-quart slow cooker. Add potatoes, carrots, onions, apple, and celery.
  2. In medium bowl combine apple cider, tapioca, salt, caraway seeds, and pepper. Pour over meat mixture in cooker.
  3. Cover and cook on low-heat setting for 10 to 12 hours or high-heat setting for 5 to 6 hours. If desired, top each serving with snipped fresh chives.
