These adorable "presents" are actually sandwich cookies covered in candy and all tied up with a bow! These cookies make a great addition to your cookie platter or you can give them as a hostess gift. Everyone loves chocolate covered sandwich cookies.
Melt the candy melts in a microwave safe bowl. Place them in the microwave for 1 minute on high, stir them up then continue heating at 70% power for 30 seconds. Stir until completely melted.
Pour the melted candy into each cavity filling them half way. Press the sandwich cookie into the mold making sure that it comes up to coat the sides. Add some more candy to the top to cover the cookie. Tap the tray a few times to get out any air bubbles.
Place the tray into the freezer for 5 to 8 minutes.
To release the sandwich cookies from the molds, press the plastic tops in a circular direction to loosen them from the mold and it'll come out. If all else fails, bang them on the counter.
Clean off any edges that have overflowed with a sharp knife. Leave them as is and make some bows. Fill the silicone mold with candy and freeze for 2 minutes. Pipe a line of candy to create the "ribbons" and then place a candy bow.
If you want to add a festive glimmer to the presents, add a drop of water to the tops of the plain chocolate covered cookies and paint on some disco dust. Once the tops are covered in disco dust, then decorate with ribbon and bow.
