Directions

Tailgate day:

  1. In a 3- to 4-quart slow cooker with a car adapter combine cheese product, cream cheese, Monterey Jack cheese, and cornstarch; toss gently to coat. Stir in prepared chili, corn (if desired), sweet pepper, onion, and green chile peppers.
  2. Cover and cook on low-heat setting for 2 to 2 1/2 hours or on high-heat setting for 1 1/2 hours. Stir mixture well.
  3. Tightly cover slow cooker and tote in an insulated carrier.
  4. At the tailgating site, plug slow cooker into car adapter and keep dip warm on warm-heat setting. (Dip will keep warm, covered, on warm-heat setting for up to 2 hours.) Stir dip before serving. Serve with tortilla chips.
