Cheesy Chicken Sloppy Joe Sliders

For an indulgent take on sloppy joes, consider this cheesy chicken version. The comes together in just 40 minutes all in the same pot, so you can enjoy your sliders with less dishes and time in the kitchen!

  • 3 tablespoon olive oil

  • 2 large onions, halved and sliced (3 cups)

  • 2 pound ground chicken

  • 6 cloves garlic, minced

  • ½ teaspoon salt

  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper

  • 1 ½ cup chopped red bell pepper

  • 2 cup shredded cheddar cheese (8 oz.)

  • 1 cup mayonnaise

  • 2 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

  • 2 tablespoon Dijon-style mustard

  • 16 slider buns, split and toasted

  • Sliced pickles


  1. In a 4- to 5-qt. pot heat 2 Tbsp. oil over medium-low. Add onion. Cook 15 minutes or until tender and golden, stirring occasionally. Remove onions from pot.

  2. In same pot heat remaining oil over medium. Add the next four ingredients (through black pepper). Cook and stir until chicken is no longer pink. Stir in the cooked onion and the next five ingredients (through mustard). Cook until heated through, stirring to melt cheese. Serve in buns with pickles.
