Double-Dipped Marshmallow Sticks
- If desired, tint bamboo skewers with liquid food coloring. Thread 2 or 3 marshmallows on each bamboo skewer, leaving no space between them. Set aside.
- In a medium saucepan heat the 12 ounces of candy coating over low heat until melted, stirring constantly. Remove from heat. Holding a skewer over the saucepan, spoon candy coating over marshmallows, spreading to coat evenly. If desired, sprinkle decorative candies, nuts, coconut, nut topping, and/or toffee pieces evenly over candy-coated marshmallow skewer. Place on parchment or waxed paper until set.
- Or, if desired, for undecorated candy-coated marshmallows, in a small saucepan heat the 4 ounces of candy coating in a contrasting color over low heat until melted, stirring constantly. Remove from heat. Drizzle over assembled skewers.
- When set, store in decorative airtight containers at room temperature for up to 1 week.

To Present This As a Gift:
You will need a foam ball, such as Styrofoam; colorful flowerpot; thick white crafts glue; candy sprinkles; and shredded paper. Gently press the foam ball into the flowerpot. Glue candy sprinkles on the outside of the flowerpot. Let the glue dry. Fill the top of the flowerpot with shredded paper. Push the ends of the marshmallow sticks into the foam ball to secure upright.
Also Try This:
Use small colored marshmallows instead of shredded paper to cover the foam ball after the sticks are inserted. (Make sure that the recipient knows that the colored marshmallows are for decorative purposes, and not to be eaten.)
