A fun and flavorful twist on a traditional seafood meal, our Cajun-Flavor Catfish creates a jam packed cajun spice with the perfect blend of oregano, red pepper and cumin for any freshly prepared catfish fillet.
Thaw fish, if frozen. Rinse fish; pat dry with paper towels.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. For Cajun seasoning, stir together black pepper, oregano, seasoned salt, onion powder, crushed red pepper, chili powder, and cumin. Set aside 1 tablespoon of the seasoning. (Store remaining seasoning in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 1 month; use on fish or pork.)
Coat both sides of the fish fillets with the reserved 1 tablespoon seasoning. Arrange fish in a single layer in a greased baking dish.
Bake for 15 to 18 minutes or until fish flakes easily with a fork, turning once halfway through baking.
