• Line a 13x9x2-inch baking pan with foil; grease foil. Set aside.

  • In a medium saucepan bring 1-1/2 cups milk and margarine or butter to boiling. Meanwhile, stir together 3/4 cup milk, farina, and salt; slowly add to boiling milk, stirring constantly. Cook and stir 3 to 4 minutes or until very thick and mixture just begins to bubble. Remove from heat; gradually stir hot mixture into egg. Stir in the Parmesan cheese. Pour into prepared baking pan; spread evenly. Cool, then cover surface with plastic wrap and chill at least 1 hour or until firm.

  • Remove plastic wrap. Carefully invert pan to remove mixture onto a lightly floured surface. Cut into 8 pieces. Place on a well-greased baking sheet. Bake in a 450 degree F oven about 20 minutes or until golden. Makes 4 servings.
