  1. For simple syrup, in a medium saucepan stir together the sugar and water. Heat over medium heat until sugar dissolves. Remove from heat and cool. Stir in desired flavoring. Chill up to 1 month. Serve over shaved ice.

Stir 1/3 cup limoncello into simple syrup. Tint with yellow food coloring, if desired.
