Directions

  1. For marinade, in a medium bowl whisk together the oil, soy sauce, brown sugar, ketchup, ground coffee beans, chili powder, and adobo sauce until smooth. Place steaks in a single layer on a baking sheet. Spoon marinade evenly over all sides of steaks; rub in with your fingers. Cover and marinate in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour or up to 24 hours.
  2. For a charcoal or gas grill, grill steaks on the rack of a covered grill directly over medium heat about 20 minutes or to medium-rare doneness (145 degrees F), turning once halfway through grilling time. Transfer to a cutting board. Let steaks stand for 5 minutes before cutting into serving-size pieces. Serve with Melted Mushrooms.

Directions

  1. In a large saucepan cook the garlic in hot oil over medium-high heat for 1 minute. Stir in the mushrooms, broth, sherry, butter, pepper, salt, and oregano. Bring mixture to boiling; reduce heat. Simmer, partially covered, for 30 minutes, stirring often.
  2. Uncover and cook until liquid is nearly evaporated but mushrooms are still moist. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
