Serve this easy Beef Stroganoff sauce recipe over hot noodles for a quick comfort food dinner. It tastes just like traditional beef stroganoff, but comes together in a flash thanks to beef bouillon and thinly-sliced sirloin steak.

This has been one of my family's favorite meals for decades, honestly. I double it for the 5 of us, and have leftovers that are fought over. I received the BH & G cookbook as a wedding gift in 1990 and my kids grew up knowing where this marked recipe is, so they could help with the sauce ingredients. I also substitute beef broth for the water and boullion granules, if I am out.

This was SOOOO good and SOOOOO easy! Perfect week-night meal for a busy working mom. I followed the recipe almost exactly...just skipped the garlic (I was out), seasoned the sirloin with a little salt, and added the tiniest bit of Kitchen Bouquet at the end. SO good! Can't wait to make it again. I think start to finish (with cutting, chopping, boiling and everything) this took me 30 minutes.

I have a Better Home and Gardens Cookbook from about 30 years ago. This recipe is very similar. I think it's much better using a can of beef broth rather than the beef bouillon, try it. By the way, The Better Homes and Gardens Cookbook is my favorite cookbook....
