- In a medium saucepan cook mushrooms, rice, and onion in margarine over medium-low heat for 8 to 10 minutes or until onion is tender and rice is lightly toasted.
- Carefully add broth and wine to skillet. Bring to boiling; reduce heat. Cover and simmer for 15 to 20 minutes or until rice is tender.
- Stir in cheese. Cover and let stand for 5 minutes before serving. Makes 6 side-dish servings.
