Chocolate Ganache


This rich chocolate ganache recipe makes enough to frost the tops and sides of one 8- or 9-inch cake layer. Feel free to use it on your favorite brownies or dessert bars.

  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream

  • 12 ounce chopped milk chocolate, semisweet chocolate, or bittersweet chocolate (or chips)


  1. In a small saucepan bring heavy cream just to boiling over medium-high heat. Add chocolate pieces Remove from heat. Add chocolate pieces (do not stir). Let stand 5 minutes. Stir until smooth. Cool 15 minutes.
