  • Prepare Stove-Top Macaroni and Cheese as directed, except stir the 1 1/2 cups vegetables into pasta cooking water for the last 2 minutes of cooking. Stir half of the bacon into the prepared macaroni and cheese in Step 3.

  • Meanwhile, preheat oven to 375°F. Pour macaroni and cheese into baked pastry shell. Bake, uncovered, for 15 to 20 minutes or until heated through. Top with the remaining bacon and, if desired, green onion. Let stand for 5 minutes before serving.


For a 9-inch baked pastry shell, use your favorite pastry recipe, bake a 9-inch frozen deep-dish piecrust according to package directions, or prepare and bake half of a 15-ounce package (1 crust) rolled refrigerated unbaked piecrust according to package directions.
