As far as slow cooker dips go, this spinach and artichoke dip is one of our favorites! Creamy, cheesy, and full of veggies, you won't be able to resist dunking crackers in this dip.

  • In a skillet cook bacon until crisp. Drain on paper towels. Crumble bacon; cover and chill until ready to use. Cook onion in 1 tablespoon bacon drippings about 5 minutes or until tender.

this was the best dip i've ever had! i didn't add red peppers only because i forgot to buy them at the store- but it didn't really even need them. it sounded like a lot of ingredients and a lot of work but it was actually so easy i'm going to make again and again. i served it with sliced up baguette that i baked. so good!

Any ideas why it would say to not use regular mayonnaise?  I don't use mayonnaise of any kind, so I always make my own when a recipe calls for it.

I can't wait to try this, it sounds absolutely incredible, I saw this last week, and have not stopped thinking about it, I am buying the ingredients tomorrow.
