  • Preheat oven to 350°F. Line cookie sheets with parchment paper; set aside. Crumble almond paste into a large mixing bowl. Add 2/3 cup sugar, salt, and 2 of the egg whites; beat with an electric mixer on medium speed until a thick, sticky paste forms.

  • Sprinkle flour over a work surface. Knead dough into flour. Roll dough out on a lightly floured surface to 1/2-inch thickness. Use a floured doughnut cutter to cut wreath shapes. Reroll scraps as necessary.

  • Arrange cutouts 1 inch apart on prepared cookie sheets. Brush with remaining egg white. Arrange almond slices and sprinkles on top. Brush almonds with egg white and sprinkle with additional sugar.

  • Bake for 16 to 18 minutes or until golden brown. Remove and cool on wire racks.
