All-American Chili

Directions

  1. In a 3-1/2- or 4-quart slow cooker combine beef, beans, tomatoes, onion, tomato sauce, broth, sweet pepper, 2 tablespoons of the chili powder, the garlic, 1/2 teaspoon of the cumin, and 1/2 teaspoon of the oregano.
  2. Cover and cook on low-heat setting for 6 hours or on high-heat setting for 4 hours.
  3. To serve, stir in the remaining 1 tablespoon chili powder, 1/2 teaspoon cumin, and 1/2 teaspoon oregano, and the salt. Serve with corn bread.
