Cover and cook on low-heat setting for 6 hours or on high-heat setting for 4 hours. To serve, stir in the remaining 1 tablespoon chili powder, 1/2 teaspoon cumin, and 1/2 teaspoon oregano, and the salt. Serve with corn bread.
