Agua Fresca 5 Ways

Directions

  1. Cut and discard rind from watermelon. Cut flesh into 2-inch pieces.
  2. In a blender combine about one-third of the watermelon and 2/3 cup of the water. Cover and blend until smooth. Strain through a fine-mesh sieve into a large pitcher or glass jar; discard solids. Repeat two more times, using remaining watermelon and water.
  3. Stir lime juice and honey into strained watermelon. Serve over ice.

Prepare as directed, using 4 cups cubed, peeled fresh pineapple; 6 cups cold water; 1/2 cup lime juice; and 1/3 cup honey or sugar.
