The word warrior means "a person engaged in some struggle or conflict," according to Merriam-Webster, but we often associate warrior with other words as well. Oftentimes, warriors are strong, fierce, loyal, and brave. When you're thinking of the most fitting name for your cat, an excellent place to start is with its personality. If your cat fits any of the words that describe a warrior, this list of names will be a top-notch option.

Most of the names on this list are unique, so your kitty won't have the same moniker as every other pet in the neighborhood. However, a few names, including Zeus, Zelda, Otis, and Thor, appear on Rover's top names for cats. (If you'd like more common options, we also have a list of the most popular names for both male and female cats.)

Unsurprisingly, a handful of these names come from Greek mythology as gods are often thought of as fearless, warrior-like individuals. Aphrodite, Hercules, Hermes, Venus, and Zeus are fitting names if you'd like to name your pet after a diety. Olympus, which is where the Olympian gods lived, is also on the round-up.

Choosing the one name you're going to call your cat for the rest of their life can be difficult. To help you decide on your cat's name, or any pet's name, for that matter, we recommend saying each one of your favorites out loud. See how you like saying it (because you'll be calling for your cat quite often) and also take note of how your kitty reacts.
