Make your next summer party stress-free with a beautiful self-serve buffet. Just follow these three easy steps. [MUSIC] Step one, put seasonal vegetables center stage on your buffet. Use a single quiche batter for a variety of vegetable tarts, including fresh cherry tomatoes, sweet corn, basil, mushrooms, asparagus, and zucchini. Use plant markers and a paint pan to create fun labels for your appetizers. Step two, buy premade tarts and fill them with custard and fresh fruit. To keep the shells from getting soggy, try this trick. Melt white chocolate, painted on the inside of the shell, and let it set before you add pastry cream. Add blueberries, strawberries, raspberries, black currant and other fruit. Step three, think of your table as an edible landscape. To add visual interest, mix flat trays with cake pedestals of different heights. Buckets of fresh flowers and pretty hurricane candles. Potted strawberries and lemon thyme are decorations that can be enjoyed all summer. With a do ahead menu and a pretty table, you'll spend the party enjoying your guests instead of manning the kitchen.
