Skip the fancy linens at the kids' table and use this easy-to-make table runner. It's super festive and will eliminate at least one step of cleanup (just throw it away)!
Editors' Tip: Have your kids help make it. They'll be super excited to show off their creation, which will make getting seated for dinner super easy.
While you're carving the turkey, keep the kids occupied at the table with this free printable. Even better, the game sheet (complete with a word search and scramble) doubles as a place mat!
Instead of a fancy place mat, set a piece of colored cardstock at each kid's spot. Then set out bowls of crayons. While they're waiting for the food to be served, have them write down what they're thankful for. During dinner, they can share what they wrote!
Supply the crayons and these wintry coloring pages, and watch the kids get creative. (Or don't watch -- and prepare the potatoes instead!)
Download the pattern below to make this cute little guy. Punch two holes in the tail-feather pieces, run a string through them, and secure the pieces to the body. Tie the turkey to a rubber band, and wind the band around a handful of crayons.
Editor's Tip: The crayon holder can double as a place card. Just write a name on each turkey's belly and set it at each place.
Want the kids to stay seated after dinner while you prepare dessert? This free printable will give you the extra minutes you need.
