Conquer Bacteria on Your Couch and Upholstery with Tide’s Game-Changing Fabric Spray
Finally, there's a way to deep-clean your couch, rug, and other hard-to-clean fabric items.
We all know to wash our hands and wipe down surfaces often, especially during cold season. But what about all those plush items—a beloved stuffed animal, couch cushions, or even car seats—that can't be easily laundered? Tide has a solution.
The cleaning product company recently released Tide Antibacterial Fabric Spray. The spray works to kill 99.9% of bacteria from everyday objects we often leave out of our cleaning routine. Upholstered surfaces like sofas and recliners, as well as curtains, plush toys, car seats, and rugs are just some objects we can vacuum or shake out, but never truly clean. We’re feeling icky just thinking about it!
While other antibacterial sprays like Lysol are suitable for soft surfaces, this is the first marketed specifically for fabric (though it is not suitable for leather or suede). Plus, you don’t even have to wipe it down after. The spray can be used two ways: to refresh and eliminate odors, and to sanitize.
To use it, lightly mist fabric with the antibacterial spray. Doing this will refresh your furniture or curtains and eliminate odors. If you want to give your fabric surfaces a deeper clean (think, putting your recliner in the washing machine), first spot-clean heavily soiled areas. Begin spraying the surface until it is evenly damp. The fabric should take more than five minutes to dry. While waiting to dry, it should be left alone, but is still safe for kids and pets to touch.
A deep clean with Tide Antibacterial Fabric Spray will effectively kill bacteria, including Enterobacter aerogenes and Staphylococcus aureus, which can cause minor skin infections, pneumonia, and more.
All those benefits, and it’s done in a fraction of the time it takes to do a load of laundry? Sign us up! You can find Tide Antibacterial Fabric Spray online and in stores today for just $5.99 a bottle.
