We’re Already Drooling Over Krispy Kreme’s New Reese’s Donuts
This is the exact dessert-for-breakfast pairing we didn't know we needed.
Reese’s lovers, it’s now totally acceptable to eat your favorite treat for breakfast. Krispy Kreme and Reese’s teamed up to create the ultimate dessert-for-breakfast delicacy. Earlier this year, Krispy Kreme released their first original filled donuts, and now they’re back with two more: The Reese’s Filled Chocolate Lover’s Donut and the Reese’s Filled Peanut Butter Lovers Donut, and both sound absolutely delicious.
The Chocolate Lover’s version is a chocolate glazed donut filled with Reese’s-style peanut butter crème, dipped in chocolate fudge icing, and topped off with a drizzle of Reese’s peanut butter icing. The Peanut Butter Lover’s donut is just as decadent—like its counterpart, it starts with a chocolate glazed donut, but it’s filled with chocolate peanut butter crème, then dipped in peanut butter icing and decorated with a chocolate icing drizzle. Already drooling? So are we.
While you can buy them by the dozen or individually just like the rest of Krispy Kreme’s donuts, because Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups come in two-packs, the donut chain is also offering special two-pack boxes so you can try both flavors at once (or snag two of your favorites). The box even looks like a Reese’s package, so there’s no mistaking your Reese’s-inspired donuts for regular ones.
The new Reese’s donuts hit Krispy Kreme stores across the country on August 5, which means they’re available now for all the peanut butter and chocolate lovers out there. Like most of Krispy Kreme's special creations, they’ll only be on the menu for a limited time, so if you want to give them a try and compare their flavor to an actual peanut butter cup, you’d better act fast. We’re not sure how long they’ll stick around, but we know you can find a reason to have peanut butter and chocolate donuts for breakfast now.
