Now this trusted brand is helping you stock up on basic kitchen tools, too.

KitchenAid might be most famous for their top-of-the-line stand mixers, and while there are plenty of helpful cooking accessories you can find to pair with one (and gorgeous mixing bowls, too), the brand also makes useful kitchen tools. Now KitchenAid is partnering with Walmart to release a new line of basic kitchen products with the same high quality as their stand mixers, but at an affordable price. They're more budget-friendly than a brand-new mixer, but still easy to use and built to last. Here are a few of our favorites from the new line that beginner and expert cooks alike will find handy in the kitchen.

1. 15-Piece Kitchen Tool Set

Beginner cooks and bakers stocking up on essentials will want to add this kitchen set to their carts. This set of common kitchen tools will give you a great start to stocking your drawers with essentials like a spatula, measuring cups and spoons, a whisk, and a can opener. Every piece of this set is sturdy and safe to use with any type of pot or pan (including non-stick), so each tool will hold its own in your kitchen for years to come.

2. Set of 4 Prep Bowls with Lids

Calling all meal preppers! You can find a way to use a good set of kitchen bowls pretty much every day, but since these four prep bowls come with their own lids, they’re easy to grab whenever you need to store leftovers. Toss them in the dishwasher when you’re done, then nest them inside one another for easy storage that won’t clutter up your cabinets.

3. Bamboo Mini Spatula Set

If we had to pick one kitchen tool as our MVP, we’d probably have to give it to the rubber spatula. This two-pack set makes it super easy to mix ingredients and scrape bowls and jars for that last little bit. KitchenAid’s spatulas are heat resistant for up to 500°F and made with strong bamboo handles, so they’ll be able to stand up to even the stiffest cookie dough.

4. Gourmet Box Grater

This sturdy box grater will catch the eye of cheese lovers, but it’ll come in handy for more than just cheese. It has fine, medium, and coarse sides for grating, so you can grate everything from coarse shreds of cheese to much finer citrus peel and zest. The fourth side is made for slicing, so you can give your kitchen knife a break for at least a few foods; the slicer is a great size for making thin slices of veggies like cucumbers and carrots (and they’ll all come out the same size, too!).

5. Classic Colander

You won’t lose a noodle to a flimsy colander again with KitchenAid’s version of this handy tool. It has no-slip feet on the bottom so it won’t slide around in your sink as you try to pour in pasta or wash fruits and veggies. Soft handles on the side also make it easy to grip to shake out the last of that water.

6. Multi-Function Can Opener with Bottle Opener

We love any product that helps us cut down on kitchen clutter, and this two-in-one can and bottle opener does exactly that. It works just like any regular manual can opener, but includes an extra piece for opening bottles at the top. Since our bottle openers always seem to slip to the very bottom of the drawer whenever we need them, having one handy on this heftier can opener is a definite plus.

7. 3-Piece Mixing Bowl Set

A counterpart to the stainless-steel bowls usually paired with KitchenAid mixers, this set of three mixing bowls will help you mix up ingredients before tackling them with your stand mixer. A lot of dessert recipes call for combining wet and dry ingredients separately first. Since this set comes with three bowl sizes, you can use them to mix ingredients separately before combining them all in one big bowl. We’re especially fans of the nonslip bases that keep them from sliding all over your counter while mixing.

8. Heat Resistant Slotted Spatula

Want a spatula that won’t scrape up your pans or bend under the weight of a hearty chicken breast? KitchenAid’s sturdy slotted spatula is a great choice, and it works just as well for flipping meat as lightweight eggs and pancakes. It’s made for cooking and serving food, so you won’t have to dirty any extra utensils.

9. Aluminum Meat Tenderizer

One reviewer for this meat tenderizer commented on how lightweight and easy to carry it is, which is a welcome change for us from weighty, unwieldly tenderizers. Rest assured, this lighter tenderizer will still get the job done—it has the usual flat side for pounding and grooved one for tenderizing.

10. Stainless Steel Utility Whisk

We’ve learned the hard way by bending a wire whisk that they’re not all created equally. KitchenAid’s version is made with stainless steel, so you can beat eggs, mix meringues, and stir together cookie doughs without bending the wires. And when you’re done, it can go in the dishwasher!
