The retailer where you can spend hours perusing aisle after aisle of affordable home accessories just launched an e-commerce site, so you can shop its amazing deals and spectacular collection of home decor online and have items conveniently delivered to your home for the first time ever. John Greim/LightRocket via Getty Images Although the brand has had an online presence at HomeGoods.com for some time, the site previously didn't offer any merchandise for purchase. The newly revamped, shoppable site launched in September 2021 now offers a comparable selection of throw pillows, bedding, seasonal decor, storage solutions, and more to what you can typically find in stores. New items are expected to drop regularly, including a seasonal collections of gifts and festive decorations launching around the holiday season. Best of all, you can score the online merchandise at the brand's signature budget-friendly prices, which are usually about 20 to 60% less than department store prices. And if you're not quite satisfied with an online purchase, you can return items via mail or in-store at one of the retailer's 800-plus locations nationwide. "We are thrilled to bring a second way for our passionate shoppers to discover and shop an assortment they know and love," said John Ricciuti, president of HomeGoods, in a press release. "We hope our customers find the same excitement shopping HomeGoods online as they do exploring the aisles of our stores." While it's hard to recreate the laidback pleasure of wandering the aisles of your local HomeGoods in search of that just-right home accessory, there's a lot to be said for the ability to order the items you know you want online and have them delivered to your door, particularly if you have mobility issues or need to order a lot of items at once. The launch of the HomeGoods online store comes after shopping habits drastically changed amid the coronavirus pandemic, with concerns about health and safety making online shopping more attractive than ever. Until this online launch, HomeGoods has offered strictly in-store shopping since its establishment in 1992, and the retailer was effectively closed during the nationwide shutdowns in spring 2020. However, as stores opened back up the following summer and fall, HomeGoods reported a 15% increase in sales compared to the same period last year. The online store is now live and ready to shop, but if you prefer perusing in person, you can always head in-store to get your HomeGoods fix the old-fashioned way.
