Hallmark Is Releasing Two New Christmas Movies in July
Hallmark plans to air a record 40 new Christmas movies this year. To celebrate their Christmas Keepsake Week, they’re releasing two of them in July!
Sure, you can watch Hallmark Christmas movies year-round now, but there’s only so many times you can watch the same reruns without wondering what the next great holiday rom-com will be. Luckily for us, Hallmark is releasing a record 40 new movies this year—and two of them are airing in July!
The new films are part of Hallmark’s summer Christmas programming, airing on both Hallmark Movies & Mysteries and the regular Hallmark Channel. Grab your Hallmark Christmas tea and cue up the Christmas carols, because the first holiday movie drops in just one month!
Hallmark Movies & Mysteries' summer holiday program, "Gold Crown Christmas," runs from June 28 through July 14, and will air new movie Christmas Camp during the first week. As soon as the program wraps, Hallmark Channel’s Christmas Keepsake Week (which spans July 12-27) will kick off with A Merry Christmas Match, a new holiday film we can’t wait to watch. Here’s everything we know so far about the two new movies.
Airs: July 7, 9/8 p.m. Central Standard Time
Stars: Lily Anne Harrison and Bobby Campo
According to Hallmark, this film is about an advertising executive named Hayley. In order to get a promotion, she needs to land a new client: A Christmas toy company. To make sure she gets the account, Hayley signs up for “Christmas Camp” where she meets the camp owner’s son. We love that this film features a female executive, and we’re guessing she lands the account and the man—but we’ll have to wait for July 7 to find out for sure.
A Merry Christmas Match
Airs: July 13, 9/8 p.m. Central Standard Time
Stars: Ashley Newbrough and Kyle Dean Massey
This film has all the makings of an instant Hallmark classic—a gorgeous winter location, a small-town business, and a sentimental way of honoring a lost loved one. According to Hallmark, the movie features a woman named Corey, who lives in a ski village, works in an antique shop, and is organizing a Christmas event to honor her late father. When she meets a man who makes her question her small-town roots, we’re guessing he learns a bit about the true Christmas spirit.
