Whether it's your significant other, your mother-in-law, or another loved one, there always seems to be at least one impossible-to-shop-for person on your holiday list. Instead of going with a gift card or another generic item to avoid getting the wrong thing, Etsy is launching a new service to help you pick out the perfect present.

On Tuesday, November 5, from 12 - 3 p.m. EST, Etsy will be offering its first-ever holiday hotline. During this time, shoppers can call the line and be connected to an Etsy expert, including Dayna Isom Johnson, a company trend expert and judge on the reality crafting competition show Making It, for personalized shopping expertise.

To receive your free advice, here's what to do: First, dial the number 1-(844)-9900-JOY during the specified window. After you're linked to an expert, you'll be asked to describe the person you're shopping for and disclose the amount you're wanting to spend. The specialist will then suggest a few gifts for the recipient and will send links to the items in an email. As an added bonus to the recommendations, callers will also receive an Etsy gift card in an undisclosed amount, as well as free shipping on the suggested products you decide to purchase.

Before you call in, make sure you create an Etsy account so the gift card can be credited to it. It's free to sign up, and all you need to do is go to the website and enter your email address and a password.

Checking at least one person off your list at the beginning of November will make the rest of your holiday shopping a bit less stressful. Plus, with more than 60 million unique items to shop on the site, including a set of glittery Golden Girls ornaments, it's likely you'll find a one-of-a-kind gift for that special someone.
