Over the last couple of years, the iconic ceramic Christmas trees you might have grown up with have made a huge comeback. But this year, there’s a new kind of vintage-inspired tree on the market, and it’s nothing like what Grandma used to decorate with. Earlier this summer Michaels released a ceramic Halloween tree as part of their 2019 Halloween collection—and it’s already sold out online.

We know what you’re thinking: How can Halloween decor already be sold out when we haven’t even finished our back-to-school shopping? But as we saw earlier this week, die-hard fans of the holiday are already putting up their Halloween trees (yes, that’s a thing!), and other people have been stocking up on all the spooky HomeGoods decor they can find.

Considering how early people are shopping for their faux pumpkins, skeletons, and ghosts, it’s no surprise these vintage-inspired trees were snatched up so quickly. And according to Google, searches for Halloween ceramic trees have increased by more than 9,900 percent in the last month alone—talk about an instant success!

The 14-inch ceramic tree features a black gloss finish with orange and purple miniature light bulbs and a bright pumpkin tree topper. It requires batteries and runs on a programmable timer, so you can schedule the lights to turn on and off whenever you want.

And while they are sold out online, you can still purchase the trees in-stores. Enter your zip code on Michaels’ website to find every store within a 200-mile radius: The online listing will let you know whether the trees are in stock at any of those locations.

We’ve also reached out to Michaels for confirmation that more trees will become available online closer to Halloween, so check back for updates if your local store is sold out.
