For many of us, the holiday season means snuggling up on the sofa and putting on a classic holiday movie to enjoy with family—an experience made even better by a high-definition television. Luckily, with the holidays comes the biggest shopping season of the year, and there is no better time than Black Friday to hunt for the best television deals.

Many televisions now come with high definition (HD), full high-definition (FHD), or 4K ultra high-definition (UHD) resolutions. These refer to the TV screen's number of pixels. In short, the higher the resolution, the better, sharper, and clearer the screen. HD TVs have 1280 x 720 pixel resolution, FHD provides 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution, and 4K UHD offers 3840 x 2160 pixel resolution, making it the sharpest of all screen specifications.

This year, we’re already seeing price cuts at retail giants like Walmart and Amazon. As expected, Amazon is offering significant price cuts on most-wished-for TVs such as Toshiba's 32-inch HD Smart LED TV with Amazon Fire TV and Insignia's 39-inch Full HD Smart LED TV with Amazon Fire TV, while Walmart is slashing prices on its best-selling Sceptre 32-inch Class HD LED TV and VIZIO's 24. You’ll find more brands and models available on both retailers’ websites, but we’ve gathered some of the best TV deals under $200, including options priced as low as $87.
