Aldi’s famous wine Advent calendar sold out in one day last year.

In 2018, Aldi sold their famous wine Advent calendar in the U.S. for the very first time—and they sold out almost immediately. Last November, we drove to every Aldi in our area only to be told the calendars had sold out within minutes due to a large number of people who had camped out in the early morning hours, waiting for the store to open.

If you weren't able to snag the sold-out calendar last year, you're in luck: Yesterday Aldi announced the Advent calendar is officially coming back for the 2019 holiday season. It will hit shelves on November 6, which means you’ll only have to wait a few weeks to open your first bottle. And it looks like we're not the only people who've been anticipating this announcement: Searches for "Aldi wine Advent calendar" are up 1900% since 2017, according to Google Trends.

You can pick up the calendar for $69.99, which is a steal since each box comes with 24 mini bottles of wine. If you’ve shopped Aldi wine before, you know their award-winning wines are priced so they don’t break your budget. While Aldi doesn't release which wines will be included in the calendars, you can plan on counting down to Christmas with a different variety of red, white, bubbly, or rosé each day. According to Aldi's announcement, this year's wines come from "some of the most popular growing regions in the world." If you're not an experienced wine connoisseur, our wine pairing guide can help you decide what to eat with each bottle.

Before 2018, this calendar was only available in Europe. And since the calendars sold out so quickly last year, we've already made plans to get to our local Aldi before the store opens on this year's release day. But before you run to the store to get your own wine calendar, keep in mind that some states don’t allow alcohol to be sold in grocery stores, which means you may need to phone a friend in another state or make your own Advent calendar this year.

But here's some delicious news: You can treat yourself to 24 days of cheese, no matter where you live, with Aldi’s new cheese Advent calendar. It’s only $12.99, and offers 24 pieces of imported cheese. Yes, please! Both calendars will be available November 6—and we’ll be first in line this year.

Can I order and pay for these and have sent to a different address? They would be perfect for my cousin. I believe California would be okay with this!raf
