We know what we want for Valentine’s Day, and it's less than $4!

Thanks to Aldi, we've got our Valentine’s Day plans nailed down. Spoiler alert: It involves a whole lot of cheese. After the popularity of their wine and cheese Christmas Advent calendars, we had high hopes for the brand’s Valentine’s Day plans, and they definitely delivered. The brand confirmed this week that they'll be bringing back their heart-shaped cheese assortment for the holiday.

The assortment, which first debuted ahead of Valentine’s Day 2018, is a little different than last year's selection. The Wensleydale cheese (a mild and crumbly, cheddar-like cheese) with raspberries & white chocolate and the classic mature English cheddar will both be returning. The cinnamon cranberry cheese from last year has been replaced with another Wensleydale cheese, flavored with gin and rhubarb. Yum!

Each heart contains 5.3 ounces of cheese, which is covered in a pink or red wax coating (like the kind on individual Babybel cheeses) to keep them fresh. The cheeses will be available in-stores starting January 29. And the best part? You can grab the whole assortment (all three hearts!) for just $3.99.

If you want something to pair the cheese with for your special someone, try one of these insanely good romantic food and wine pairings, or enjoy your cheese with a delicious champagne cocktail. Wensleydale pairs well with champagne or Pinot Grigio, as well as fruity desserts. If your sweetie has a sweet tooth, whip up a festive chocolate bark or try one of our favorite homemade chocolate candy recipes.

Good cheese goes with practically anything, so no matter what you gift it with your loved ones will seriously love it. If you don’t want to gift the assortment, pick one up as a treat to yourself—we won’t tell if you open it early! We don’t care about roses or candy this year—we're hoping to get cheese for Valentine's Day.
