Painting a Wood Floor: What You Need to Know
Skip completely refinishing a wood floor and consider painting it instead. Here's how to decide if your wood floor is a candidate for this DIY treatment.
[MUSIC] When I decided to paint the wood floor, I made sure that this is a floor that I wanted to paint. And when it came down to it, it was a pine 1950s lock in floor. So it was solid, but it was just a very thin floor, and it wasn't a floor that I wanted to sand, and strip, and refinish. What I used is the Benjamin Moore Floor and Patio Paint, which is used for, obviously, porches and outdoor steps. But, its a paint that can really take the hard working of a kitchen. But, it really can change the look of a room, and this isn't just for a kitchen, this could be for your stairs. This could be for a dining room, a living room, a bed room, so here I went with a taupe, like cappuccino color, and you know, for an inexpensive, fast way of updating this kitchen. It was the perfect solution for the job.
