When not writing or on the hunt for the ideal taper candle holder, you can find Kate attempting to learn to knit (again), or perfecting her banana bread recipe.

Kate McGregor is a writer and market editor who covers interior design, organizing, cookware, renovation, and decorating. She is currently freelancing for a number of shelter titles.

Previously she worked as the associate design editor at Domino covering home renovation, DIY, real estate, and home tours. Before that, she was the market assistant at ELLE Decor, scouring the home industry for the best new products across decor, appliances, furnishings, and hardware.

Favorite Purchase:

Kate's favorite purchase is her latest coffee table book, Living with Objects: A Guide to More Meaningful Interiors by Monica Khemsurov and Jill Singer. Not only does it offer the reader advice on how to source the best vintage and new home decor objects and furniture, it also gives styling and care tips.


Kate received a Bachelor of Science degree in entertainment industry studies with a minor in marketing from Belmont University in Nashville, Tennessee.
