Jeanne is a writer and editor with more than 40 years in the print and digital publishing industry. She writes about food, gardening, health, nutrition and travel—and little known people living incredible lives. She also edits cookbooks and develops recipes for print and digital publications.

Jeanne Ambrose has been passionate about the world of food and gardening ever since her fingers were big enough to pluck strawberries from the garden. When her writing and editing career was launched more than 40 years ago, she leaned into developing recipes, writing features about gardening, cooking, baking, nutrition, and health for newspapers and magazines. Her expertise was fine-tuned while working at Better Homes & Gardens magazine. She has collaborated on cookbooks and garden projects for national publications. Jeanne was previously editor of Taste of Home magazine and executive editor and content director of Birds & Blooms and Country Woman magazines.


Jeanne graduated with a BA and a double major in Journalism and English from Central Michigan University. She attended Aquinas College in Grand Rapids, Michigan where she earned certification in elementary education.
