Shake off the cold and cabin fever with the many celebratory or honorary dates in March. Mardi Gras (aka Fat Tuesday) kicks off the month on the 1st. The fun continues throughout the month with World Book Day on the 4th and Let's Laugh Day on the 19th. It serves as Women's History Month and is a time to recognize the many accomplishments of women. International Women's Day and National Girl Scout Day (don't forget to stock up on your favorite cookies!) also take place in March.
