Because manufacturing is still delayed due to residual side effects of the pandemic, many areas are experiencing a fireworks shortage this year, so communities around the country aren't able to put on their normal fireworks displays. But don't worry, this Fourth of July staple isn't going anywhere. The big annual shows like The Macy's 4th of July fireworks and A Capitol Fourth in Washington, D.C. are still scheduled to happen this summer, and you can stream them online or from your TV. And we won't lie—we're excited to view the shows in a mosquito-free, air-conditioned home this year. Plus, your pets will totally appreciate the lower noise level. Here’s where you can catch the best virtual firework shows on the Fourth of July. A Capitol Fourth This year marks the 41st celebration of A Capitol Fourth, an annual PBS event that takes place live in Washington, D.C. This year’s show begins at 7:00 p.m. CST and will feature performances from stars like Jimmy Buffet, Alan Jackson, Pentatonix, Jimmie Allen, the United States Army Band, and many more. In addition to the performances, you can expect a spectacular fireworks show over the National Mall. Check your local listings for streaming options. Macy's 4th of July Fireworks After cancelling their normal show last year to cut down on crowds during the pandemic, Macy's annual firework display is back and better than ever. It's known as the nation's largest fireworks show and this year features musical performances by Tori Kelly, Broadway Inspirational Voices, The United States Army Field Band, and Hollywood Scoring. The entire show will be streaming on NBC, so tune in at 7:00 p.m. CST for the two-hour live broadcast. The Boston Pops Fireworks Spectacular The Boston Pops Fourth of July show has been a staple of American culture since 1929. This year's concert will stream on local television (check your listings to see if it airs in your area) and can also be streamed online from Bloomberg TV. The live stream will be available for 24 hours after the original event, so you can catch up on the show if you miss the live performance. You'll also be able to listen to the entire concert from anywhere in the country on SiriusXM channel 119. The event begins at 7:00 p.m. CST and will be followed by a fireworks extravaganza.
