Cadbury Just Announced the Winner of This Year's Bunny Tryouts
The weeks and months before Easter are filled with two things: Cadbury Creme Eggs, and the iconic Cadbury Clucking Bunny commercial. If you haven’t seen it, the commercial—which was on the air for over 35 years—features a variety of animals wearing bunny ears and "auditioning" for the role of the Cadbury bunny.
And for the third year in a row, Cadbury is revamping their classic commercial. The company teamed up with last year's winner (a two-legged dog named Lieutenant Dan) to host the 2021 Cadbury Bunny Tryouts—and the winner was just announced.
The winner of the 2021 Cadbury Bunny Tryouts is Betty the Australian White’s Treefrog from Stuart, Florida. Betty was one of more than 12,000 entries (a record number!) and was declared the winner after almost 30,000 votes were cast. She's the first-ever amphibian to win—and the first female, too! You can watch her in the Cadbury Clucking Bunny Commercial later this spring.
As the winner of the contest, Betty will take home $5,000. And, to make the contest even sweeter, Cadbury has pledged to donate $15,000 to The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, ASPA, in honor of the competition.
