Top Lotions for Dry Skin

Fashion and Beauty Director Ellen Miller shares her tips for combating dry skin.

Q: My skin is so dry that my regular body lotion just isn't cutting it. Can you recommend a more moisturizing product that won't leave a sticky, greasy film behind?

A: Low humidity levels this time of year pull water out of your skin, creating that tight, uncomfortable feeling. To help, look for creams that contain ultra-rich hydrators such as cocoa butter or petrolatum.

Right now I'm loving Curél Intensive Healing Cream ($11.99; drugstores) and Vaseline Total Moisture Cocoa Radiant Lotion ($3.99; drugstores)—both sink in quickly. I slather them on post-shower, when my skin is damp and my bathroom is still a little steamy.
