With sharply angled eyebrows and a fanged slash of a mouth, this creepy vampire pumpkin stencil will be a hit with other nighttime visitors. (Trick-or-treaters, of course! What'd you think we meant?)
The leering look on this vampire stencil's face looks particularly eerie when lit from within. To create a flat perch for a candle, we recommend hollowing out the pumpkin from the bottom (not the top!) and leveling the cut pumpkin circle with a knife. Then just place an electric candle on the flat surface and set your carved pumpkin over it!
1. Start with a hollowed-out pumpkin. Scrape the pumpkin wall thin (no thicker than 1") on the side you intend to carve.
2. Tape the printed pumpkin stencil onto the pumpkin, smoothing the paper as best you can.
3. Poke along the stencil's pattern lines with a pin tool, keeping pin pricks about 1/8 inch apart. Remove stencil when pattern is completely outlined.
4. Using the pin pricks as a guide, carve along the pattern outline with a thin, serrated knife. Keep cutouts in place until you've finished carving, then push them out from the inside of the pumpkin.
