Monster Brownie Recipe

Stir up some fun with these Halloween cake pops.

What You'll Need

-Silicone brownie mold (We used the Wilton Brownie Pops mold.)

-Brownie mix

How to Make It

Make brownie mix according to directions on the box. Both bake and cool brownies in the prepared mold, supported by a cookie sheet. Let cool and remove from the mold.

Lightly cover the cake pops with smooth icing.

Getting Started: Decorating the Monster Brownie Pops

A few basic decorating supplies are needed to decorate the Monster Brownie Pops.

What You'll Need

-Buttercream icing

-White fondant

-Icing colors: leaf green, black, rose, sky blue, orange, golden yellow

-Icing decorator tips: sizes 1A, 1M, 1, 2, 8, 12

-Disposable frosting decorating bags

-Frosting brush

-Piping gel

-White sparkles

-Knife

-Licorice string

-Mini marshmallows

-8" lollipop sticks

-Black checkered ribbon

Orange Monster Brownie Pop

Googly eyes make this orange Monster Brownie Pop more silly than scary.

How to Make It

1. Tint fondant orange and roll out to 1/8 inch thick. Cover Pop with orange fondant.

2. Tint fondant golden yellow and roll out to 1/8 inch thick. Cut two 1/2-inch strips. Brush strips with piping gel and cover with sparkles. Attach strips using a damp frosting brush.

3. Roll out white fondant to 1/8 inch thick; cut out whites of eyes using the wide end of tips 1A and 12. Roll out black fondant to 1/8 inch thick; cut black fondant pupils from narrow end of tip 12 and the wide end of 8. Attach the eyes using a damp brush.

4. Insert lollipop stick.

Pink Stripe Monster Brownie Pop

Pink fondant plus curly eyelashes give this Brownie Pop a sweet, feminine look.

How to Make It

1. Tint fondant rose and roll out to 1/8 inch thick. Cover Pop with light rose fondant.

2. Tint fondant dark rose and roll out to 1/8 inch thick. Cut three 1/4-inch strips of dark rose. Brush with piping gel and cover with sparkles. Attach strips using a damp brush.

3. Cut out whites of eyes using wide end of tip 12. Cut black fondant pupils using the narrow end of tip 8. Cut out light rose eyelids using a knife. Attach eyes using a damp brush. Pipe on black eyelashes with tip 2.

Big eyes bug out on this green Monster Brownie Pop.

How to Make It

1. Tint fondant green and roll out to 1/8 inch thick. Cover Pop with green fondant.

2. Roll out white fondant to 1/8 inch thick; cut out whites of eyes using the wide end of tips 1A and 12. Roll out black fondant to 1/8 inch thick; cut black fondant pupils from narrow end of tip 12 and the wide end of 8. Attach the eyes using a damp brush.

3. Tint fondant dark green and roll out to 1/8 inch thick. Cut out dots using narrow end of tips 2 and 8. Brush all dots with piping gel and cover with sparkles. Attach dots to body using a damp brush.

4. Cut black fondant eyebrows using a knife and attach with a damp frosting brush.

5. Insert lollipop stick.

How to Make It

1. Tint fondant blue and roll out to 1/8 inch thick. Cover Pop with blue fondant.

2. Roll out white fondant to 1/8 inch thick; cut out whites of eyes using the wide end of tips 1A and 12. Roll out black fondant to 1/8 inch thick; cut black fondant pupils from narrow end of tip 12 and the wide end of 8. Attach the eyes using a damp brush.

3. Tint fondant dark blue and roll out to 1/8 inch thick. Cut out dots using narrow end of tips 12 and 8. Brush all dots with piping gel and cover with sparkles. Attach dots to body using a damp brush.

4. Cut licorice eyebrows and insert behind the eye.

Green Stripe Monster Brownie Pop

Three crazy eyes bug out from the top of this blue-and-green Monster Brownie Pop.

1. Tint fondant blue and roll out to 1/8 inch thick. Cover Pop with blue fondant.

2. Tint fondant with a mixture of green and blue, then roll out to 1/8 inch thick. Cut three 1/4-inch strips. Brush strips with piping gel and cover with sparkles. Attach strips with a damp brush.

3. Cut nine licorice eyelashes and insert three into each marshmallow as shown. Cut thee 1" lengths of licorice; insert ends into Pop and eye.

4. Tint fondant black and roll out to 1/8" thick. Cut out pupil using the wide end of tip 8.

5. Insert lollipop stick.

Orange-and-Pink Monster Brownie Pop

This sassy Monster Brownie Pop has a flirty flair.

1. Tint fondant orange and roll out to 1/8 inch thick. Cover Pop with orange fondant.

2. Roll out white fondant to 1/8 inch thick; cut out whites of eyes using the wide end of tips 1A and 12. Roll out black fondant to 1/8 inch thick; cut black fondant pupils from narrow end of tip 12 and the wide end of 8. Attach the eyes using a damp brush. Cut an orange eyelid using a knife. Attach the eyelid using a damp brush.

3. Tint fondant rose; roll out to 1/8 inch thick. Cut out rose dots using both ends of tip 12. Brush all dots with piping gel and cover with sparkles. Attach dots to body using a damp brush.

4. Pipe on black eyelashes with tip 2.

5. Insert lollipop stick.
