Weed Control in Gardens
Use our guide to prevent and control weeds in your garden.
-We control our flower beds as a necessary chore but not too difficult if you approach it the right way. If weeds have already gotten the toe hold, you??ll need to remove them manually. Spraying chemicals in and around ornamentals is usually too risky that leaves you the options of hand pulling which is effective but laborious or hosing a hoe. Be sure to remove weeds rather than leaving them on the ground. Sometimes they can take root again. Prevention is a better strategy. Weed Preventers such as Preen are easy to apply as granules and keep weed seeds from growing for many weeks. If you prefer a natural option, weed preventers come in organic formulation as well. Mulch is another way to prevent weeds. In 2 or 3 inch layer not only looks nice and can serve as moisture, it also keeps weeds to a minimum.
