Before You Start: Tips for Making Labels

Print Round Storage Labels

Before you print your free labels, here are some helpful pointers:

  • Our labels come in three colors: blue, green, and orange. If you only want to print one color, be sure to select only that page in your print menu before you print.
  • Some of our labels are designed to fit on specific label sizes. These blank label sheets are available at office supply stores, and they can be used on home printers. Look for our tips on each slide to find out what label sized you'll need.
  • You can either type in the text you want on your free labels, or handwrite it. If you want to type the text, click into the center of a label in the document and type your text.
  • We recommend printing the non-adhesive labels on heavy cardstock or matte photo paper, then laminating them for extra durability. At-home laminating machines ($22, Target) can be purchased at craft stores, or you can take your labels to a copy center to be laminated.
