How to do it

Step 1 Prepare Cotton Stems

You can purchase wired bunches of cotton stems from a florist or your local crafts store. Lay them out on top of your grapevine wreath to plan your arrangement. If there are too many cotton bolls wired together in a section, separate them with wire cutters and spread them throughout the wreath until you've achieved your desired look. Trim any excess wire from the stems to make them easier to work with.

Step 2 Add Cotton to Wreath

Tuck the cotton stems into a simple twig wreath, layering one over the next as you work your way around. We used a 24-inch grapevine wreath, but yours can be smaller or larger as desired. When you are happy with your placement, use a drop of hot glue to secure each stem. Cut and insert additional stems to fill out the wreath. You can opt to fill in the entire wreath with cotton or leave some of the grapevine branches showing.

Step 3 Finish and Hang

Tie a large bow from burlap ribbon and glue it to the top or bottom of your wreath to complete the look. Trim the tails, if needed. Hang the DIY cotton wreath on your front door or display it in another spot around the house.
