Hi, I'm Bridgid Coulter and I'm an interior and textile designer. [MUSIC]. I didn't know I was into design but apparently when I started sketching or redesigning my parents kitchen when I was twelve. That's probably where I started but I didn't know it was a career. [LAUGH] [MUSIC] At the end when you've done all of the planning and all the design and all the scope and scale and specifying and you've got all your pieces. And you're putting those last touches on a room. I call that putting the jewelry in. That's the time that I think the room sings. I am a color addict. I love all colors. but I'm always drawn to this cranberry red; this deep, beautiful cranberry red. It makes me very happy The best compliment I get from my work is when my clients come home, or come into their office, or whatever I've created and said, you got me. The best piece of advice someone's ever given me. Is just breathe. And that ties to everything in life. When it happens in design and everything's overwhelming and things aren't working and mistakes are happening if you just breathe, it's gonna be all right. And it always is.
